Standout; a fashionista in the house who pimps her clothes herself

Admittedly… I never iron. But a while ago I received a very nicely wrapped package. Those who follow me on Instagram may have already seen it. And the contents of that package were just as nice as the outside 😉 . A box full of, among other things, Xenos ironing applications! Daughter was quite hyper when she saw the unpacked stuff, especially because the ironing applications themselves are completely up-to-date. And as an 8-year-old you simply have to look fashionable, don't you?

Xenos Ironing applications, all the way from now

The ironing applications of today can in no way be traced back to the time when I was confronted with these things myself. In the past ironing applications were used on your knee or your butt out of sheer necessity, nowadays it is very hip to use applications as standard on your clothing or accessories.

In fact. You may already buy your clothes ready-made in the store. For example, Lotte also has jeans with some ironing applications on them. Awesome. I would have liked to walk in pimped clothes with this kind of Xenos applications. But no… I was already 'lucky' back then if I had an apple, instead of just a square surface. Jakkie, I always hated it then.

But no more! Now it is not only great to buy these clothes like this, no, the young girls now go much further. They prefer to design their clothes themselves. Mine does anyway. As a mini fashion blogger in the making, Lotte would like to get started with the Xenos ironing applications to create her own designs. A bit à la 100% Coco, but different. And look what a choice! You can already buy a set for €1.49.

Ironing, my worst nightmare

I hinted at it above… ironing is not a hobby of mine. There are women who don't like this at all. They smooth everything out nicely in a few hours a week.

I. Not.

I can hear it. My mother used to teach me how to iron. Right down to the shirts. She saw it as part of the upbringing I think. And of course I realize -now that I write this- that I am once again making a mistake in raising my children. At least it looks like they're not learning ironing from me. And I'm not afraid of my hubby either.

The only times I iron?

They can be counted on one hand, and even with just two fingers. With iron-on beads and with the Xenos iron-on applications. Sosss.

Children's own clothing style

What I really like is that children are triggered in this way to develop their own taste in, for example, clothing. There is so much looking at others and imitating in the schoolyard that there is a risk that children forget their own clothing style. While they really do have their own taste.

By working with iron-on applications, or by buying and using studs, for example, your son or daughter can show their own style. And also to present a unique piece of clothing. How nice is that! With those studs I once completely brightened up a pair of boring sneakers together with Lotte. With a super cool result, which unfortunately I don't have a picture of. Bummer.

In any case, figuring out the desired applications was already quite a job for her, haha. Lotte chose (of course) for 'cool' and the hippie feathers. I also appropriated a number of applications myself. Can I add a summery touch to the denim jacket I bought online from Miss Etam!

How does that work with those ironing applications?

That's the beauty of these products. It was beeped in a jiffy. Setting up the ironing board takes the most time. You only have to remove the applications of the Xenos from the cardboard and iron them onto the fabric with the iron at 200°. Just wait for the glue on the back of the applications to do its job and hop on, put on those clothes! Or take that bag with you. Or put that pillow down. Whatever you want to pimp, as long as it's made of fabric, it's possible. And it can also be washed in the washing machine afterwards.

Do you also want to get started? Check online where the shops are located at the Xenos. Unfortunately, there is none in our village, but coincidentally I bought that black cushion with gold print of the photo at the Xenos in Enschede last week. I fell in love instantly! Is there no store near you? Then you can of course also check online.

And now I'm going to button up. There was also a box of needles in the press package. Excuse me 😛 .
