Imagine being able to go to the mountains, skiing, next vacation, imagine being "liberated" and deciding, at the last moment, to look for a family ski resort , pleasant, where everything will be ready to welcome our little family in the best possible conditions given the context...
Well, I think it's "finally" time to tell you about Oisans, which I had the chance to discover over 3 days in pleasant company at the beginning of the year when everything was still going well (in Europe).
Oisans is a region of the Alps located in the departments of Isère and Hautes-Alpes, it is easily accessible by TGV via Grenoble, which is clearly ideal in my opinion (3 hours from Paris). It has 6 main valleys of which Le Bourg-d'Oisans is approximately the centre. It is therefore nearly 22 villages and resorts almost all unique in terms of their access, their size or their exposure. Among these, the well-known Alpe d'Huez .
For this discovery stay, I was divinely accommodated in an apart-hotel (at the Pearl of Oisans) in the pretty village of VAUJANY. A big favorite, because it really is a village resort! There is both the "typical old town/village" spirit and all the "modern" facilities for practicing all the classic mountain activities, summer and winter alike:ice rink (you know how important it is to me?!), swimming pool , bowling (the traditional outing for us when we go on vacation). So really ideal as far as I'm concerned.
Secondly, we are good skiers here... so often we think, the "small villages" do not offer enough slopes, the domain is too small. Well not in Vaujany! Because precisely, the ski area is immense since the ski lifts even allow you to reach the resort and the slopes of Alpe d'Huez in a few minutes! Enough to satisfy good skiers, families, and wallets since obviously, it is more economical to stay in a village than in a huge resort!
In addition, the resort of Vaujany is a really privileged base if you are with your family, because it has the “Famille Plus Montagne label. ”.

Good and then THE superb dream outing:the plane flight … from the Alpe d’Huez altiport (which we had reached on skis). It was crazy. The weather was perfect, the sensations were very present but I love it! The view of course… it was a dream for me who loves flying. I had never had the opportunity to do it above the mountains before… At the time, I posted images/videos on Instagram. Obviously, it's a cost but a very nice gift to make / to offer ... because more than ever, we need to get some fresh air and see how beautiful nature is. Small zoom on the resort of Alpe d'Huez that I already knew from having been there for a week with the family (the little one was in first grade from memory), we obviously found everything there, huh. But I advise you to take a look at the ice cave at an altitude of 2700m recreated every year for 22 years. It's incredible. It is very popular with children (and adults of course). We also love the activity of tobogganing on rails (summer and winter).
It is desirable, no ? In any case, it did me a lot of good to dive back into this memory of early 2020, without a mask (except the ski one) and to see all these photos again!
