A little trip to Avallon and the lake of St Agnan?

I absolutely wanted to tell you about this little corner of paradise, discovered a little by chance 3 years ago. We went back there this summer, "going up" to Paris at the end of our family vacation. It's also a great idea for a weekend 2 hours from Paris.

We will say that this post will give us a little green break in this back to school. Especially since the sun has gone out this weekend, bastard.

Where do we sleep as a family near Avallon? At the Cimentelle of course! Located 10 minutes from the town of Avallon, there are guest rooms extremely comfortable, quiet and in particular two suites for families (including one with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). The breakfasts are totally crazy (with pancakes, fresh fruit salads, croissants,… Yes, you gain 2 kilos in 2 days), a huge garden (a park what), a heated swimming pool, a trampoline, a ping-pong table, table football. The rooms are filled with books, comics, games... In short, it's sincerely an excellent address that I recommend, especially if you have children who are a bit tall like us.

End of e-zabel pretends to be Tripadvisor.

What do we do in the Avallon region as a family? Here, we stay two nights each time, so this is our last step to "cut" the road back to Paris at the end of the vacation when we come back from the "South". It feels so good.

At the end of August, the owners of La Cimentelle advised us to take a tour of the Lac de Saint Agnan . As much to tell you that it was magnificent, photos in support.

On the program, about 8 km to go around. We picnicked on the way, we walked, we dipped our feet in the lake, we laughed a lot, we also almost got lost (but no!!! I'm a human GPS I can assure you).

And then, heading back to Paris all gray again, we stop (this time it's really the last stage), a few hours in Auxerre . More specifically, you can rent bikes (at the Maison du Vélo) to go for a ride along the banks of the Yonne, converted into a greenway. It's absolutely beautiful. I didn't take any pictures (ugly), as I was watching the Little Big one ride "straight" and "keep right" (damn). Understand "so that it does not fall into the water". I give you a small restaurant for the lunch break in the middle of the walk "Chez Emeline", very simple but fresh and really good.

That's the end of the summer 2016 family vacation story.
