A teenager's room under construction

The bedroom and the teenager are under construction by the way.

Life goes on (I'm still in denial after all); just before confinement, I received her large bed, the first brick in the construction of our teenager's new bedroom...I had a hard time getting started, finally, starting with The long-desired bed, I knew that 'then it would be easier for me (let's say obligatory) to continue:cupboard, desk, painting, curtains, decorative objects…. ahhhhhhhh the list is so long (and the addition too) uh uh

I know many of you have asked me to keep them "up to date" on my choices and the progress of the transformation. Going from a little girl's room to a teenager's room, when she knows a little, but not really what she wants (apart from a double bed), is not an easy task. Do not make The room that I love me, but his own. Knowing also that I have no skills in decoration (my walls are empty)… Finally, thank you Pinterest, I opened a board "teenage girl's room" there (admire my ability to name Pinterest boards), I showed him , I deleted, added, and I finally understood roughly what she liked (and in parallel, how Pinterest works too). Something rather white, simple, with decorative elements or small "golden" accessories, in particular a shoe cabinet (which I ordered well before the confinement, but which is not likely to arrive anytime soon)(it's where is soon?)(sorry)

For the bed , I will be as always very honest, I do not recommend it to you. I'm very disappointed, especially since I got out of Flexa as a child's bed (which we took apart in 5 minutes and which clearly can be reassembled and reused for years - yes, I'm selling it). I received my order:dozens of boards, hundreds of mixed screws, very unclear instructions, it took us hours to assemble even the bed alone (without the drawers, storage areas below ), the electric screwdriver is essential (we didn't have one, thanks again friends for the loan). Then, the confinement started and I continued editing all week to FINALLY finish everything. The wood is super thin, it's clearly low quality, in short, I'm disappointed especially considering the price. The IKEA podium bed did not measure up, too bad, because I would have clearly preferred!

Other purchases:bed linen ! Not having a 140 cm bed at home so far:I had NOTHING. So I bought a duvet, a set of linen and organic cotton from Kadolis (I didn't receive the right color, but I kept it, I'm delighted all the same because I wouldn't have gone to the gray of course but in the end, it's very nice!!), and all the essential equipment even if it is less visible:fleece mattress protector (it's a little extra comfort I think), under pillowcases pillow to protect them and fitted sheets (in organic percale). There too I am delighted with my e-order and the rather crazy choice (too much choice kills the choice? No, in real life I love it), so I'll give you the link, it's the Compagnie du Blanc.

I still have to buy a pillow to complete all this. But there is no rush. When her brother comes squatting to sleep with her, he brings her pillow. Too cute mode activated.

On May 4th, we receive ournew curtains ! We chose to have them made by Laurence (Carpiem) who had made magnificent curtains for our living room a few years ago. The 15-year-old chose a transparent linen, but not too much, and the blinds format, which will allow her to choose the height according to her mood! AH AH it may change often (oops)

Next, we'll move on to the desktop (his is so too small I'm ashamed!) and his wardrobe . She also wants a full-length mirror, coat racks, frames, etc, etc… in the meantime, we have had her favorite photos printed on Lalalab (my godmother code for with 5 € offered:PGV937NZ ) in polaroid format (they call it Vintage Print)

Phew, we started but we are far from having arrived at the end of this project! And you know what ? Well it doesn't matter! On the contrary, I like to take care of this subject from time to time, do some research, discuss this project with my teenager. Another nice #containmentpositive
