Organize a Halloween party for the kids

Organize a Halloween party for the kids

I don't remember celebrating Halloween as a child. We only dressed up for Mardi Gras. However, today with children, this holiday is an integral part of our way of life.

Every year, on the evening of October 31, I then have to use a lot of imagination to find original decoration themes.

Where to find Halloween decorations?

Still happy that currently, costumes and disguises for children or adults are marketed everywhere. Indeed, if you also had to rack your brains to find them, the parents would not have left the hostel anytime soon, since it is already very difficult to imagine decoration ideas. I don't know about you but I do. Indeed, insofar as I was not educated in this culture of Anglo-Saxon tradition, I had a little trouble at the start.

However, over the years, I have made a lot of progress. Without bragging, my children are quite proud of my decoration. And it is above all also thanks to online sales sites, in particular Ma Plus Belle Déco. This shop sells items and accessories specifically focused on the Halloween theme . You won't know where to turn between the feathers, the lanterns, the skull-shaped candles, the transparent submersible LEDs...

And sometimes, when I'm really out of ideas, I draw inspiration from the articles offered on this website. Anyway, my advice is to get down to the preparations a few weeks in advance, especially if you plan to receive your children's friends and girlfriends. So you have time to organize everything. In addition, by purchasing decorative items in advance, there is plenty of choice and there is no risk of out of stock.

Some Halloween theme ideas

Rest assured, until their sixth year, it is very easy to satisfy the little monsters. Witches hats, cobwebs, latex bats and some carved pumpkins will impress them very easily.

It is from their seventh year that things start to get a little tougher. From then on, you will have to know, but above all familiarize yourself with, their universe. With my children, I had no problems. Indeed, as they began reading the Harry Potter saga , setting up the decoration was a piece of cake for me.

Otherwise, themes relating to death and cemeteries are always very popular. To get that morbid vibe, order black cardboard coffins, skeletons, not to mention zombies and ghosts. As background music, loop "Thriller" by Michael Jackson and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Guaranteed effect!

Finally, the world of Dracula and the Vampires greatly fascinate teenagers. But a Halloween party cannot do without games. And of course, the most anticipated and fun activity is going around the neighborhood with the disguises, to ask for sweets, in each house while saying "Trick or treat!" which translates to "Trick or Treat!".

Every Halloween, despite the chilly weather, we organize the traditional "Apple Bobbing" in our garden, which consists of catching apples in a basin of water with your teeth.
